About Blooming Osteopathy
Thoughtful, personalised osteopathic care to help you move with confidence and get back to what matters most.
Meet Clemency
Hi, I’m Clemency, the osteopath behind Blooming Osteopathy.
I’m naturally curious about how the body works, so rather than simply treating symptoms, I like to understand why they’re happening in the first place. Pain isn’t always as straightforward as it first appears, and I enjoy piecing together the bigger picture to better understand what’s contributing to it.
I want my patients to leave feeling not only better, but with a better understanding of their body and the confidence to keep moving forward.
I believe good osteopathic care is about more than treating where it hurts. It’s about taking the time to understand your body, your lifestyle, your goals and the things that matter most to you. From there, we can work together to create a treatment plan that’s tailored to you.
While I enjoy treating people of all ages and stages of life, I have a particular interest in supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum recovery and early parenthood. As a mum myself, I understand that these seasons of life place unique demands on the body, and I know how important it is to feel listened to, supported and cared for.
Whether you’re recovering after having a baby, struggling with back or neck pain, managing a sports injury or simply not feeling like yourself, my aim is always the same: to help you understand your body better, move with confidence and get back to the people, activities and moments that matter most.
My Approach to Osteopathy
No two people are the same, so I don’t believe treatment should be either.
Every appointment starts with listening. I take the time to understand not just where you’re feeling pain, but how it’s affecting your daily life, why it may have developed and what you’re hoping to get back to.
Treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all. I’ll adapt both the techniques I use and the advice I give to suit you, your body and where you are in life. As a structural osteopath, I use a range of hands-on techniques—including soft tissue work, joint mobilisation and, where appropriate, joint manipulation—to help improve movement, reduce discomfort and support your recovery. For babies and young children, treatment is always gentle, age-appropriate and adapted to their individual needs.
I also believe that understanding your body is an important part of recovery. I’ll explain what I think is happening, answer your questions and make sure you leave knowing not just what we’ve done, but why we’ve done it.
When it’s helpful, I’ll give you simple, realistic advice to support your progress between appointments. That might be a few tailored exercises, a small change to your daily routine or practical tips that fit around your lifestyle. My aim isn’t to give everyone a long list of things to do, but to find small, achievable steps that make a meaningful difference.
I also recognise that the best care is sometimes a team effort. If I think you’d benefit from another healthcare professional—such as a lactation consultant, women’s health physiotherapist or your GP—I’ll always be happy to recommend the right professional. My priority is helping you get the support that’s right for you.
What you can expect
Whether it’s your first appointment or you’re returning for treatment, my aim is to make you feel comfortable, listened to and involved in every step of your care.
We’ll start by talking about what’s brought you in and how it’s affecting your daily life. I’ll also ask about your general health, lifestyle and medical history so I can build a full picture of you, not just your symptoms.
From there, I’ll carry out an examination and explain what I’ve found. We’ll discuss my recommendations, answer any questions you have and agree on a treatment plan before we begin. Treatment will only ever take place with your consent, and you’re always welcome to ask questions or let me know if you’d like to pause or adjust anything.
At the end of your appointment, we’ll summarise what we’ve covered and discuss the next steps. If it’s appropriate, I’ll email you any exercises, advice or recommendations we’ve talked about, so you can easily refer back to them at home. My goal is for you to leave feeling informed, supported and confident about what comes next.
